Everyone wants to be a millionaire – the real question is how you get there! Not everyone gets the winning lottery ticket, or builds a million-dollar company, or walks away with a heap of money on a TV game show, but each of us is capable of improving our financial futures and investing in our careers is a great way of doing so! This means putting in the hours, working hard and learning what we need to in order to do our jobs well. It also means investing in the companies we work for – and to do this, we need to know about our business!
In our edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, the SA Oil team had to square off against each other in a competition that not only determined who took home the prize, but also who was entitled our Most Valued Player (MVP). Here’s what they had to do…
Our team enjoyed some well-deserved millionaire-themed treats after a close competition, and the winner enjoyed some gold… gold-coated chocolate, that is!
Several research studies show that competition amongst staff members can increase motivation and effort, boost morale and have a significant impact on results. It also incentivises employees into working hard toward achieving a goal – especially if there is a reward in it! Our edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire also gave our team the opportunity to show how much they know about SA Oil, and to learn more from their colleagues.
